The following agricultural scholarships were developed by Skyland Grain to demonstrate its commitment to the communities of Southwest Kansas, South Central Kansas, the Panhandle of Oklahoma, Southeast Colorado and Texas.

Agricultural Scholarships
Four Year College Scholarship Program
Program Requirements
The scholarships are available for students attending a two-or four-year college. The student must be a graduating senior who is involved in pursuing an agricultural or business-related education.
Program Conditions
To be eligible for consideration for these scholarships, students must provide the following:
- Have a cumulative seventh semester GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale
- Have minimum ACT composite score of 20 or SAT-I combined score of 1020
- A one-page essay responding to the statements listed below:
- Discuss your future educational and career goals.
- Describe examples of your leadership experience in which you have significantly influenced others and helped resolve conflicts. Consider responsibilities to initiatives taken in or out of school.
- Completed application to include Guidance Counselor Section.
- A letter of reference from a school official (counselor, teacher, principal, club sponsor, etc.)
- Be a resident of our service area in Southwest Kansas, South Central Kansas, the Panhandle of Oklahoma, Southeast Colorado, or Texas.
Description of Scholarship Award and Payment of Funds
Recipients have the opportunity to receive up to $4,000.00 during their four-year college education. The funds will be distributed equally (up to $1,000.00) each continuous academic school year with the initial funds distributed with recipient providing a copy of their college enrollment form to:

Then, prior to the beginning of each school year thereafter the recipient will provide a copy of their college enrollment form and a copy of previous year’s GPA of 2.5 or greater to be eligible for scholarship funds for the upcoming academic school year.
Technical or Two Year Vocational Scholarship Program
Program Requirements
The scholarships are available for students attending a technical/vocational school. The student must be a graduating senior who is involved in pursuing an agricultural or business-related education.
Program Conditions
To be eligible for consideration for these scholarships, students must provide the following:
- A one-page essay responding to the statements listed below:
- Discuss your future educational and career goals.
- Describe examples of your leadership experience in which you have significantly influenced others and helped resolve conflicts. Consider responsibilities to initiatives taken in or out of school.
- A letter of reference from a school official (counselor, teacher, principal, club sponsor etc.)
- Be a resident of our service area Southwest Kansas, South Central Kansas, Panhandle of Oklahoma, Southeast Colorado or Texas.

Two Year to Four Year College Scholarship Program
Program Requirements
This scholarship was developed to demonstrate Skyland Grain’s commitment to the communities of Southwest Kansas, South Central Kansas, Southeast Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas Panhandle. The scholarship is available for students attending a two year college who are transferring to a four year college. The student must be a graduating sophomore who is involved in pursuing an agriculture or business related education.
Program Conditions
To be eligible for consideration for these scholarships, students must provide the following:
- Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale
- A one-page essay responding to the statements listed below:
- Discuss your future educational and career goals.
- Describe examples of your leadership experience in which you have significantly influenced others and helped resolve conflicts. Consider responsibilities to initiatives taken in or out of school.
- Completed application.
- A letter of reference from a school official (advisor, professor, dean, club sponsor etc.)
- Be a resident of our service area Southwest Kansas, South Central Kansas, Panhandle of Oklahoma, Southeast Colorado and Texas.

Recipients have the opportunity to receive up to $2,000.00 during their next two years at a four year college. The funds will be distributed equally (up to $1,000.00) each continuous academic school year with the initial funds distributed with recipient providing a copy of their college enrollment form to:

E.W. Carter & Johnny Crownover Scholarships (Texas only)
Program Requirements
These scholarships are awarded to two deserving young people to help further their education. Each scholarship is available to students attending a university or technical/vocational school in Texas, New Mexico or Oklahoma. The student must be a child of a Skyland Grain, LLC employee or member of Skyland Co-op, Inc.
Program Conditions
To be eligible for consideration for these scholarships, students must provide the following:
- A one-page essay responding to the statements listed below:
- Discuss your future educational and career goals.
- Describe examples of your leadership experience in which you have significantly influenced others and helped resolve conflicts. Consider responsibilities to initiatives taken in or out of school.
- A letter of reference from a school official (counselor, teacher, principal, club sponsor etc.)
- Be a resident of Texas.

Crop Applicator Certificate Program
Through Pratt Community College, Skyland Grain has developed a Crop Applicator Certificate Program. Individuals who complete the one-year, 34 credit hour program can expect to embark on a promising career.
